Our ServicesDiversified TechniqueThis is commonly known as the “adjustment” or the “manipulation”. This is a hands on technique in which the doctor releases the restriction in a joint that is causing interference in the body. Most people will hear a “popping” sound with this treatment. This sound is the release of a gas bubble that has formed due to increased pressure in the joint from it being restricted. Graston TechniqueGraston Technique is a soft tissue (i.e. muscles) technique that utilizes stainless-steel tools. Each of the 6 stainless-steel tools is shaped to mold different areas of the body. The tools allow the practitioner to isolate certain muscles of the body to break up scar tissue and adhesions that are causing restriction and pain. Graston Technique is being used by almost 5000 practitioners – including chiropractors, physical therapists, occupational therapists, athletic trainers, and hand therapists. Conditions commonly treated by the Graston Technique:

AquamassageThe Aquamassage bed utilizes water heated to 100 degrees that pulsates up and down a tarp covering the patient’s body without the patient getting wet. It gives our patients the therapeutic benefits of heat and massage all in one. What are the benefits of aquamassage?
What conditions is aquamassage good for?
Are there any contraindications to use the Aquamassage bed?If you are claustrophobic this may not be a treatment for you because your entire body is enclosed EXCEPT for your head. Also, if you have a history of blo0d clots, kidney problems, are currently fighting cancer, or have any other condition in which massage or heat is contraindicated for please consult your doctor before using the aquamassage bed. Activator Methods TechniqueThe Activator Methods Technique utilizes a hand-held tool to perform a light force adjustment. As with all adjustments, the Activator delivers a high velocity low amplitude adjustment to the spine and extremities. The Activator is a great method for patients who have osteoporosis or any other condition that may cause a weakening of the bones. It is also a great method for people who do not like to hear the noise from an adjustment resulting from the change in pressure in their joints. Soft Tissue Massage (Localized)Soft tissue massage promotes healing by increasing the blood flow, decreasing scar tissue build up, and decreasing healing time. It also promotes increased range of motion and flexibility and decreases muscle tension. Soft tissue massage combined with an adjustment is the perfect combination, since muscle, bones, and joints are all connected. RehabilitationRehabilitation is essential in obtaining maximum therapeutic benefit from treatment. Rehabilitation involves giving the patient personalized exercises that they can perform at home or in our office to help them increase or maintain their level of functioning. Rehabilitation is essential to increase range of motion, protection, and strength and to decrease further injury. When will I get rehabilitation exercises? This varies on the patient and the extent of the condition. Some patients may get exercises on their first day of treatment and others may get them later in treatment. We try to get you involved with your treatment as soon as possible, but sometimes there are other factors that we have to take into consideration first. |
